Maggie Fried is Vice President, Corporate Development at S2G Ventures, where she focuses on driving value and impact for the portfolios and strategic partners across the Builders Vision Oceans and Seafood platforms.

Prior to S2G, Maggie was the Head of the Oceans, Seafood, and Aquaculture Investor Consortium (OSAIC) at CREO, a network of family offices investing into climate and sustainability solutions. In her role as the Head of OSAIC, Maggie built a consortium of global investors and catalyzed over $300 million of investment from this group into sustainable oceans and seafood companies and funds over 2.5 years.

Maggie has long been passionate about the intersection of climate, food production, and poverty alleviation. Earlier in her career, she supported due diligence, investor relations, and portfolio management for Illumen Capital, Draper Richards Kaplan, and the Phillips Foundation, and advised several early-stage impact ventures on fundraising and partnership strategies. Her experience also includes programs, partnerships, and executive leadership of several non-profit organizations in the U.S. and abroad.

Maggie holds an MBA from UC Berkeley-Haas, an MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA from Colgate University. She lives with her partner in San Francisco (and actively lobbies him for a dog!) and spends her time scuba diving, hiking, and exploring new cuisines at home and abroad.
